A Million Kittens

If I were a billionaire

I'd have a million cats.

Each one would live a happy life

in a very large cat flat.

They all would have

a special meal

of sliced up chicken

and tender veal.

With silly mice

and toys to play

to chase with joy

throughout the day,

until night comes

it's time to sleep,

and curl up with me

their dreams I'll keep.

But since I'm not

a billionaire

I ration greens

no funds to spare.

So cats that fall

into my lap

must find another

place to nap.
