Eternal Dust

Toxic white powder

covers my home like snow

plastered tight to my skin

engrained in my hair

blinding my eyes

as my tired arms fall

to my dusty shirt sides.

Yet on the days morrow

it all starts again

as the drywall sanding

never reaches an end.
