Gaping mouths never stop opening, growing broader as they shovel more down their throats.
Greedy hands always taking, giving nothing away except to monsters of similar volition.
Grizzly faces, razor-sharp teeth, a colossal body coated in ulcers, sores, and bloat.
Boasting in fine fabrics, jewels, and rarities. Their compunction hidden beneath bewitching visions.
In the soil, a million ants slide into line, spewing lies, hanging on horrifying decisions.
Attacking those who are trying to save them from dying, yearning to be sensually swallowed.
And the great gloating beast grows ever more ravenous when constructing division.
While the land beneath its abominable body becomes sickly and hollowed.
On the exterior, to eyes untrained, they appear an average person wallowed.
But from within, the beast hungers, eating away at empathy and feasting on suffering.
Residing inside us all, dormant, hoping to rouse from its tomb. You’re being followed.
Bout the beast with compassion for others, for once it holds you there is no recovering.
With the creation of civilization, it has resided in isolation, waiting in preparation.
Yet despite this information, it’s overtaken the population, since few can resist the temptation.
