A rainy day, a restful night,
Today’s the perfect day to write.
The candles lit, no work to do,
To write a story, I must first review.
I edit out, revise, delete,
To make good work, I cannot cheat,
It's hard to plan, to finalize,
The plot which reaches reader's eyes.
It does not need to be perfect yet,
It’s the first draft, I should not sweat.
I know that this advice is wise,
Though I cannot help but criticize.
All that said, this is my dream,
To write hidden worlds, not as they seem.
I love my stories, flaws and all.
To write my characters through their falls.
It will be worth it in the end.
To share these fantasies with my friends.
