Landing in Italy, we begin our travels in Rome. Viewing the beautiful Trevi Fountain, and learning all about the origins of Lupa, the She Wolf.
We visit the Vatican. Exploring wondrous delights, timeless artwork, and learning quickly that marble is tough on the toes. I had to battle my urge to see everything vs. my urge to sit down!
Touring the Colosseum, we learn about the gladiators, the religions of the Pantheon, and Santa Maria Maggiore.
After a scenic train ride to Sorrento, we visit Pompeii and learn of a civilization preserved by disaster.
